Our Mission

Cherokee County Jeepers Mission is to create a local group full of local Jeepers who share a common interest of Jeeps. We want to help serve our community through acts of kindness, whether it be with our time or gifts. We love teaching new Jeep enthusiasts proper Off-Road Etiquette. We love helping the underprivileged of Cherokee County. We love serving our military and members of the public service. And we are always down for food!

Cherokee County Jeepers is a safe space for all races, genders, ages, sexual preferences, handicaps and Jeeps. When this group started, the founders had small children. They didn’t want to have to worry about explaining what that innuendo meant or having to explain why someone was doing something illegal on the trails. Not only that, but we have law enforcement in our group and do not want to put them in a position of having to tell a judge or jury what they witnessed our members doing. We have several Jeepers with disabilities and we always make them feel like they are the best members we have!

Cherokee County Jeepers prides themselves on being a drama free, positive environment for all it’s members. We believe in the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you have a complaint about a business, report it to the BBB or contact the business. If you have a problem with another member, discuss it with them in private, not on CCJ. Communication is the key to 99% of problems. In a nutshell, be a good human.

Our Motto

Quality (qual-ity) adjective: the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something.
Quantity (quan-ti-ty) noun: the amount or number of a material or immaterial thing not usually estimated by spatial measurement.

Over the years, we’ve seemed to adopt the phrase “Quality over Quantity” as our Jeep Club Motto. We understand there are hundreds of Jeep Clubs, each having their own perks. And we feel there is a place for everyone. With CCJ, we don’t want to be the biggest or baddest. It’s not a competition. But, we do want to be one of the closest. Therefore, we do require all members participate at least once every 6 months. Participation can include ANY of the following:

  • Write a post on the Facebook Page
  • Attend a meet and greet
  • Attend a ride

Twice a year, the admins of the group have (what we call) “purge season”. This means, we go through all the members of the group and check for activity. If they have not been active in the past 6 months, we assume they don’t have a desire to be active in the group, and therefore are not helping us in our motto of having a group full of quality. Doing ONE or more of the above three will keep you in CCJ.
