Membership and governance
- Membership terms and conditions: Jeep Owners interested in joining Cherokee County Jeepers Club (hereinafter referred to as CCJ) can CLICK HERE and complete the questionnaire. Based on the answers, the admins of CCJ will approve or decline your request.
- If a member is not active at events OR on the Facebook page, the admins have the right to remove the member from the page due to our rules and regulations.
- If a member does not adhere to the rules or regulations, the admins have the right to remove the member from the group.
- Dues and fees: Cherokee County Jeepers is considered a social club. CCJ does not require dues to join. If an event such as a parade or park require the group a flat fee to participate, we do require participants to pay their portion of the fee. (Examples are Little River Canyon requires a permit be purchased to ride. Canton Christmas Parade require clubs to pay a fee to participate). If there are additional funds available from sales of stickers or donations to CCJ from members, these funds are used to purchase gifts for members’ surgeries, birth of members’ children, or death of members’ immediate family. All purchases are agreed to by the admins of the group and are disclosed in the Cherokee County Jeepers Facebook Page. At any time, a member can request to review these purchases by reaching out to a member of the admin group.
- Club rules and code of conduct: Click Here for the list of rules that all members and their guests must follow. This includes rules of behavior and expected etiquette.
- Voting and governance: All policies and procedures are voted on by the admins of the group. At any time, a member can submit a request to the admins for approval. Occasionally, the admins will request the voice of the members on rides, events, policies, etc.
Financial disclosures
- Financial transparency: CCJ has a checking account at Ameris Bank in Canton, GA. Admin Michael Arisohn is the bank president and has CCJ’s permission release information to any member of CCJ. Monthly bank statements are reviewed by the admins and balanced. At any time, members can also reach out to an admin and request copies of the bank statements.
Privacy and legal
- Use of likeness: For events, attendees consent to their likeness being used in photos or videos for promotional purposes.
- Privacy policy: CCJ does ask for Emergency Forms in each Jeep for members participating. Any information on these forms will be confidential. Should an incident arise where the form is needed, all information on the form will follow the same policies as HIPAA and not be disclosed to anyone except medical personnel.
Cherokee County Jeepers Representatives will never sell or give member’s information including phone numbers, email addresses, or addresses to anyone without the member’s consent.
- Legal filings: CCJ does not qualify as a 501c3 or 501c7. Therefore, money collected by CCJ cannot be used as charity donations. If CCJ is assisting in collecting donations for a 501c3 such as Childrens Haven or Butterfly Whisper, a receipt can be provided from that non-profit. If you would like to receive a receipt, please reach out to an admin on who to contact for the receipt.
- Affiliation: CCJ is a Jeep Club based in Canton. GA. CCJ has no affiliation with Stellantis Auto or the Jeep brand.
- Liability and Risks: Each participant of CCJ hereby waives all claims against any and all persons associated with the CCJ Social Club. Individuals understand that they are participating in offroad activities which have potential vehicle or body damage. Participants have expressed to their passengers that CCJ Social Club is not liable for any body damage or consequences in participating in events. Each member understands that activities of off-roading can include rock climbing, mud, hill climbs, steep terrain, cliffs and such which could potentially cause serious injury or even death. Participants also assume full responsibility for all their actions during and connected to the above organization. Members also assume full responsibility for my passengers during the event. Members understand the risk of participating in this form of offroad activity and hereby release the CCJ Social Club and all of its agents, volunteers and associates of and from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, medical bills, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any negligent or other act or omission, and/or any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the undersigned or any property of the undersigned in participating in this form of activity. Members also agree they know of no reason why they cannot participate in this form of activity. Members of CCJ Club understand that in case of emergency, they hereby authorize any licensed medical personnel to perform any accepted medical assistance deemed necessary and agree to bear the expense of any such treatment. As additional consideration for CCJ Social Club, each member agrees that their attendance and/or performance at events and such may be photographed, filmed and/or taped and used by CCJ for marketing purposes and authorize the use of their image and waive any compensation thereof— even if they discontinue their participation with CCJ. Members are duly aware of the risks and hazards inherent upon participating in this form of off-road activity agree to all its rules, terms, and conditions. Members acknowledge that they have access to a copy of the CCJ Social Club rules, have read them, understand them, and agree to honor and obey them. Members understand that disobeying the rules may, at the administrators’ discretion, result in suspension or expulsion from the CCJ Social Club. By agreeing to the foregoing release, the member hereby acknowledges and represents: that he/she has read the foregoing release, understands it and signs it voluntarily; that he/she is over 18 years of age and of sound mind. If under 18, the parent/legal guardian signing this release agrees to all its terms and conditions.
